With the expected seven million children born this month, Up Girl is to draw attention to the need for, and advocate for investing in girls around the world. Up Girl

Up Girl, a campaign by the United Nations Foundation, gives American girls the opportunity to channel their energy and compassion to create awareness and raise funds for UN programs that help some of the worlds most difficult to reach teens. Through Girl Ups support, girls have the opportunity to be educated, healthy, safe counted, and in a position to be the next generation of leaders. Supporters of the campaign are encouraged to give a maximum of five girls in developing countries by donating $ 5 or more for girls with basic necessities such as access to school supplies, drinking water services vital health, safety and more violence.
